Art. 18 Right of data subjects to information about the data
1 The right to information is governed by the Data Protection Act of 25 September 2020. 2 SEM processes the requests for information.

Art. 19 Right of data subjects to rectification, completion or erasure of data
(Art. 103f let. d FNIA) 1 The procedure for exercising the right to rectify, complete or erase data in the EES is governed by Article 52 of Regulation (EU) 2017/2226. 2 SEM processes requests to correct, complete or delete data.

Art. 20 Data security
(Art. 103f let. e FNIA) 1 For authorised entities, data security is governed by Article 43 of Regulation (EU) 2017/2226. They shall take the required measures to ensure data security. 2 Data security for the federal authorities is also governed by: a. the Data Protection Ordinance of 31 August 2022; b. the Information Security Ordinance of 8 November 2023.

Art. 21 Statistics
1 SEM may compile statistics on the EES in cooperation with the Federal Statistical Office. 2 The rights of access for this purpose are set out in Annex 2. 3 The statistics must not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the persons concerned.
Art. 22 Responsibility for data processing
(Art. 103f let. g FNIA) SEM is the national authority pursuant to Article 39(1) of Regulation (EU) 2017/2226. It is responsible for performing the tasks defined therein.

Art. 23 Supervision of data processing
(Art. 103f let. f FNIA) 1 The cantonal data protection authorities and the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) shall work together within the scope of their respective responsibilities and coordinate the supervision of the processing of personal data. 2 In fulfilling its duties, the FDPIC shall work with the European Data Protection Supervisor, for whom the FDPIC is the national contact point. 3 It is the national supervisory authority in accordance with Article 55(2) of Regulation (EU) 2017/2226. It is responsible for the fulfilment of the tasks defined therein.
