Art. 16 Reporting

1 The cantons regularly report to the FOEN on technical measures for reducing carbon emissions from buildings. 2 The report must contain information regarding: a. the CO2 measures taken and planned and their effectiveness; and b. the progression of carbon emissions from buildings within the canton. 3 On request, the cantons shall make available to the FOEN all necessary documents that form the basis of the report.

Art. 16a Information on heat generation systems

In accordance with Article 9 paragraph 3 of the CO2 Act, the essential information on heat generation systems for heating and hot water in new buildings and for their replacements in old buildings is as follows: a. the energy source used for the heat generation system; b. the nominal output of the heat generation system or the district heating connection; c. the heating requirement (Qh); d. the year in which the heat generation system was commissioned; e. the date of entry in the Federal Register of Buildings and Dwellings; f. in the case of district heating: the Federal Building Identifier (EGID) for the building in which the main heat generation system or heat supplier is located.
