Precious Metals Control Ordinance (PMCO)

I. Fees
Art. 186
1 The Central Office and the Assay Offices shall charge fees for their services and orders. 2 The trade assayers charge fees for conducting fineness tests. 3 The fees are based on the Ordinance of 17 August 2005 on Fees for Precious Metal Controls. 4 The cantonal Assay Offices and trade assayers shall keep the fees they charge.

II. Commencement and repeal of previous provisions
Art. 190
1 This Ordinance comes into force on 1 July 1934. 2 At this point, all enactments in contradiction hereto shall be repealed, specifically the following decrees and regulations: Implementing Ordinance of 15 November 1892 on the Control and Guarantee of the Fineness of Gold and Silver Articles; Federal Council Decree of 25 November 1892 on the Organisation and Powers of the Federal Office for Gold and Silver Articles; Federal Council Decree of 8 June 1896 on the Stamping of Watch-Cases destined for Russia; Federal Council Decree of 23 October 1906 on the Control of Gold Watch-Cases with a Fineness of 14 carats destined for Austria-Hungary; Federal Council Decree of 10 February 1914 on the Control of Platinum Articles; Federal Council Decree of 8 September 1916 on the Implementation of Article 1 of the Federal Act on the Control and Guarantee of the Fineness of Gold and Silver Articles; Federal Council Decree of 2 February 1917 on the Mandatory Control of Platinum Articles; Federal Counci
