Art. 11

1 The person responsible shall make every effort to respond to major accidents. 2 In particular, he shall: a. immediately tackle major accidents and notify the point of contact; b. immediately secure the accident site and prevent further effects; c. remedy any effects as soon as possible. 3 He shall submit a report to the enforcement authority within three months after the accident. The report shall include: a. a description of the course and effects of the major accident, and of the response provided; b. information on the effectiveness of the safety measures; c. an assessment of the accident. 4 If the person responsible is unable to draw up the report within the period specified, he must submit an application for an extension to the enforcement authority, stating the reasons, together with an interim report on the state of the investigations.
