The women's draw is genuinely wide open. Defending champion Iga Swiatek arrives having won Roland Garros for a fifth time but has historically struggled on grass. Sabalenka is the clear favourite, but Mirra Andreeva, Naomi Osaka (who beat Kasatkina 6-1 6-3 in round two), and Elena Rybakina all have credible paths to the final.
