Art. 2

1 The content of cantonal registers is not included in the Federal Register. A link connects to the Federal Register. The Federal Office of Culture (FOC) shall resolve the modalities of connections in consultation with the cantons. 1bis In the case of cultural property owned by the Confederation that is on permanent loan to a cantonal or communal institution in Switzerland, the FOC may agree to it being entered in the cantonal register provided registration does not restrict the Confederation’s power of disposal over the cultural property concerned. 2 The Federal Government shall ensure that the authorities and the public can access the cantonal registers electronically without restriction and free of charge provided the cantonal registers are available in electronic form. 3 The cantons are responsible for the content of the registers.
