[icon:MAP] A Northern Prime Minister Burnham has pledged something no recent PM attempted: he intends to keep living in Manchester and work from what he calls "No. 10 North" at least one day a week. The symbolism is intentional. He governed Greater Manchester during the Covid lockdown, personally negotiating on local television when Boris Johnson threatened to cut funding mid-tier. He won that fight. The story became national.
