Reading What Went Wrong From the Negative

When to Trust the Process and When to Reshoot A single bad roll is almost always equipment or temperature related, not a chemistry problem. Keep a log: date, chemistry batch number, temperature reading, and timing for every roll. After two or three rolls you will see whether a pattern is developing. If results are inconsistent roll to roll with the same chemistry batch, the thermometer is the first thing to replace.
