Main gate to waterfallOrchidariumFern House and upper loopReturn to gate12345
Enter through the colonial-era gate. The canopy closes overhead immediately. The waterfall stream runs alongside the path north.
The orchid collection is dense and well-labelled. Monkeys appear here. They are bold and used to visitors.
The fern house is humid and still. Tree ferns older than the garden itself. The upper path loops back through durian trees.
The path widens back to the entrance boulevard. The city noise returns. The hour inside felt longer.

The gardens are free to enter and open daily. Located in the Waterfall area of George Town. A taxi or Grab from KOMTAR takes about 15 minutes.

The long-tailed macaques are everywhere and will take food if you hold it out. Keep snacks in your bag. The waterfall path north of the orchidarium is the quietest section.
