The Clone Wars Game We Have Been Waiting For
Star Wars: Zero Company is a single-player turn-based tactics game from Bit Reactor, a Maryland studio founded by veterans who shaped XCOM: Enemy Unknown and XCOM 2 at Firaxis. Published by EA in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, it is set during the final and most volatile phase of the Clone Wars, before the Republic falls and the Empire rises. Narrative tone is Andor-influenced: gritty, morally complicated, and focused on the shadows-and-sabotage side of a galactic war. The game is fully canon.

How It Plays
Combat is turn-based and tactical with a heavy XCOM influence, but Bit Reactor has added a Mass Effect-style hub between missions where you can build your base, send out intelligence informants, and strengthen bonds between squadmates to unlock new abilities. Permadeath is on by default. With 8 Specializations available for custom recruits and a secondary specialization unlocked later, squads can be deeply tailored. The Anakin Skywalker Cameo
Lucasfilm confirmed that Anakin Skywalker appears in the story, voiced by Matt Lanter, the same actor who played the character across The Clone Wars animated series. The reveal was the stinger at the end of the Summer Game Fest 2026 trailer. The full extent of his role has not been disclosed. No other major canon characters have been confirmed.
