The Lisengrat
Säntis is the giant that watches over eastern Switzerland, visible from six countries on a clear day. The route up the Lisengrat is the one for hikers with a head for heights, a narrow chained ridge that links Rotsteinpass to the summit with the ground dropping away on either side. You can ride the cable car back down, which most people do, legs spent and the whole Alpstein laid out below.
