:INFO The White Lake Lac Blanc sits on a shelf high on the sunny side of the Chamonix valley, directly opposite the whole Mont Blanc massif. On a still morning the lake throws back a perfect reflection of the Aiguilles, the Mer de Glace and the Argentiere glacier across the valley. The climb from the Flegere lift threads past the smaller Cheserys lakes, with a few chained and laddered sections near the top. :MAP 45.97,6.895,La Flégère [FOOT] 45.975,6.898,Combe des Aiguilles [FOOT] 45.981,6.892,Lacs des Chéserys [FOOT] 45.987,6.888,Lac Blanc :STATS :NOTE.half Take the Flegere cable car from Les Praz to start high on the balcony. The lake has a refuge if you want lunch with the massif in front of you. | :NOTE.half Snow lingers at the lake into early summer and the final approach has fixed ladders.
