Laugavegur Trail
The Laugavegur is Iceland's most famous multi day trek, winding roughly 55 km through the Highlands from the rhyolite mountains and hot springs of Landmannalaugar down to the green oasis of Þórsmörk. It packs steaming geothermal valleys, obsidian fields, glaciers and rivers into a few unforgettable days.


:NOTE
Hiking season is late June to early September when the FÍ huts are staffed and snow has cleared; book hut bunks months ahead, bring sturdy river crossing shoes and watch for sudden cold snaps even in midsummer.
