The optional Sahale Arm extension climbs higher into alpine meadows and ends at a moraine camp with one of the most photographed views in Washington. :NOTE The trail is usually snow free from mid July through late September, and the access road from Marblemount is steep gravel that closes in winter. Arrive at the trailhead before 8am on summer weekends to grab parking, and carry layers as the pass is windy and cold even in August. :LINK https://www.nps.gov/noca/planyourvisit/cascade-pass-trail.htm More info
