Into the Canyon
The Grand Canyon's most famous corridor trail, dropping from the South Rim through tiered red rock to the Colorado River and Phantom Ranch. Shaded rest houses and reliable water make it the safest way to reach the river, though the climb back out is what breaks people.


:NOTE
Never attempt rim to river and back in a single day, especially May to September when inner canyon temperatures top 40 C. Carry electrolytes, start before sunrise, and turn around at Havasupai Gardens unless you are camping below.
