The Nice and Accurate Prophecies
Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman's 1990 comedy follows Aziraphale, an angel, and Crowley, a demon, who have been living on Earth for so long they have become rather fond of it. When the Antichrist is accidentally switched at birth and the End of Days looms, they join forces to prevent the apocalypse and save a planet they have grown to love. The novel satirises bureaucracy, religion, prophecy, and the nature of good and evil with such affectionate wit that it never feels mean. The BBC and Amazon adaptation starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant premiered in 2019.

Pratchett and Gaiman wrote the novel by fax, post, and telephone, passing chapters back and forth. They later said they could no longer remember who had written which parts, which they considered the highest compliment.
The novel was adapted into a six-part Amazon Prime series in 2019 starring Michael Sheen as Aziraphale and David Tennant as Crowley. It was renewed for further seasons and became one of the streaming era's most beloved fantasy adaptations.
