All 25 official EON Productions Bond films, in release order, with the actor, director, Rotten Tomatoes score, and a one-line note on each film's tone. Bond has been running since 1962, a seventh actor is being cast for Bond 26, and the best way to prepare is to know what you are working with. Wikipedia spreads this across a 15-column table mixed with budgets and awards. This page strips it to the essentials and groups them by actor era so the shape of the franchise is clear.

Seven films in nine years. Connery defined the template: tight plots, Cold War stakes, dry wit. George Lazenby stepped in for one entry and delivered the franchise's most romantic and most underrated film. When Connery returned for Diamonds Are Forever he was already visibly tired of the role.

Roger Moore played Bond for seven films over twelve years, longer than any other actor, and leaned into comedy and spectacle over grit. Timothy Dalton's two darker entries were commercially weaker but critically respected. Pierce Brosnan revived the franchise after a six-year gap with GoldenEye, then watched the formula curdle under three increasingly hollow sequels.

Casino Royale was a deliberate reset: no gadgets, no quips, a Bond who bleeds. The Craig era is the most internally consistent run since the Connery films. Skyfall remains the highest-grossing Bond film ever made at 1.1 billion dollars. No Time to Die closed the era with a proper ending rather than a handoff.

Denis Villeneuve (Dune, Arrival) is directing. Steven Knight wrote the script. No actor has been publicly announced as of October 2026, though producer Amy Pascal said a casting announcement is expected before the end of 2026. Filming is planned for 2027. Bond 26 will be a clean reboot with no connection to the Craig era. Release is likely 2028 or 2029.
Rotten Tomatoes scores are the critic consensus as of October 2026 and shift over time as more reviews are added. The two non-EON films, the 1967 Casino Royale spoof and Never Say Never Again (1983), are not listed here. Both sit below 70 percent.
