2Extracts
Extraction Method
Use dried lion's mane chunks. Simmer in water at 80 degrees Celsius for 2 hours to extract beta-glucans. Do not boil. Strain and reduce. For dual extract, combine with an alcohol tincture at 1:1 ratio after cooling.
Coffee Pairing
Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of lion's mane extract or powder to a standard drip or pour-over coffee. The flavor is mild and slightly savory. Works well with light to medium roast beans.
Dosing Protocol
Start with 250 mg extract equivalent per day. Increase to 500 mg after one week if no sensitivity. Take in the morning with coffee. Cycle 5 days on, 2 days off for long term use.
Preparation Checklist
Dried lion's mane sourced (organic preferred)
Extraction vessel and strainer ready
Coffee beans freshly ground
Dose measured with milligram scale
Storage jar clean and airtight
Lion's mane is generally well tolerated but some people report digestive sensitivity when starting. Use powder from a reputable supplier with third-party testing if you are not extracting from whole mushrooms yourself.
