The Three Towers
The Tre Cime are the most recognisable rock in the Dolomites, three sheer stone towers that rise from a wild high basin on the border of Veneto and South Tyrol. The loop circles them entirely, passing the Lavaredo and Locatelli refuges and the famous north face view from behind. The mountains were a front line in the First World War and tunnels still thread the rock around the path.
