The White Teeth Loop
The Tour des Dents Blanches is a multi day alpine loop that straddles the border between the French Chablais and the Swiss Valais, circling the jagged limestone teeth that give the range its name. The route links high cols, glacial cirques and quiet refuges, far from the crowds of more famous Alpine tours. Most hikers complete it in four to five days, sleeping in mountain huts each night.
The window is short, roughly mid July to mid September once the cols clear of snow, and refuges must be booked in advance since some sections have no fallback options.
